The people in admin went out of their way to be helpful and arranged a few things for us and I am very pleased with them, except for the excursions. I can say that I had no complaints at all, and some people in the office were especiallys helpful. On the other hand, there were a lot of complaints from other students that I heard and complaints from the teachers about the students. Personally, my experience was positive and I am now considering returning there. My girlfriend, however, probably wouldn't agree to go back, so I may have to find another place to study in the spring.

I liked the apartment a lot and I liked the landlady. It was a terrific location especially.
What would you like to improve?
I think sometimes communications with the administration might be better. I think they went out of their way to help whenever possible. But I wasn't too thrilled with the excursions which were planned. The bus caught fire on the first one and had to be put out with the bottles of water that we carried with us. I was excluded from the second excursion to Kizhi. I went to the office to pay for the tickets and wanted to give them money, but they didn't know how much it was at the time and then they didn't buy tickets for us, so we couldn't go. Fortunately, my girlfriend arranged the trip another time and we had a good time. The trip to Valaam was horrific, a brutal bus ride at 2 AM, arguments on the wharf in Sortovala about whether we could go on the boat, other hassles including students getting lost, and finally the brutal return trip. I'm certain that the school administration wasn't at fault for all the problems and tried to arrange the best trip for us, but I cannot say it was pleasant.
